2K Foundations and NBA 2K25 Cover Athlete & NBA Star Jayson Tatum Unveil Refurbished Basketball Court in North St. Louis
2K Foundations, teamed up with NBA 2K25 cover athlete and NBA Champion Jayson Tatum, to unveil the refurbished basketball court at the Mathews-Dickey Club (Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis) in North St. Louis.
The collaborative effort to design and renovate the neighborhood basketball court, aims to address the shortage of recreational facilities and to serve as a catalyst for empowerment and positive change for underserved communities.
Tatum, born and raised in St. Louis, is a 5x NBA All-Star, 3x All-NBA First Team and a reigning NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics.
“To be here in Jayson’s (Tatum) hometown and give back to this community is everything that 2K Foundations strives for,” said Ronnie Singh. “Basketball can be such a powerful tool providing opportunities beyond the sport itself and we’re excited to be a part of this not just today but well after.”
The comprehensive refurbishment of the court will include new sanding and refinishing with new artwork, wall cleaning and paint touchup, updated nets, padding, and new supplies for basketball youth programming including basketballs, ball pumps, cones, and basketball racks. The court is located at the Mathews-Dickey Club (Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis), 4245 Kingshighway Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63115.
